A 16.5-inch vintage viola with a rich, mature voice and one of the most complete refurbishments in our collection.

One of the two largest violas in our vintage collection, with the dark low-end response that only a full-size body and decades of aged tonewood can deliver. Our shop went through this one top to bottom: new Dominant strings, a new Aubert 5 bridge, a new fine tuner, and a light cosmetic touch-up. It arrives fully set up, clean, and ready to play.

The Glaesel story starts in our backyard: German luthier Kurt Glaesel founded Glaesel String Instrument Service in Cleveland in 1973, and for decades every Glaesel was shop-adjusted right here in Northeast Ohio. Our vintage collection comes from that era, and each instrument has spent those years in our care.
