A European-built intermediate Glaesel from the brand's Cleveland era, freshly refurbished by our shop.
The VIG series was Glaesel's step-up line: European-crafted bodies with seasoned spruce tops and flamed maple back and sides, each one shop-adjusted in Cleveland. This one pairs more than two decades of naturally matured tonewood with a complete 2026 refurbishment, new Dominant strings and a new Aubert 5 bridge, so it arrives with a fully opened-up voice and a fresh professional setup. This is the instrument for the player whose teacher just said it is time for something better.

The Glaesel story starts in our backyard: German luthier Kurt Glaesel founded Glaesel String Instrument Service in Cleveland in 1973, and for decades every Glaesel was shop-adjusted right here in Northeast Ohio. Our vintage collection comes from that era, and each instrument has spent those years in our care.
