A full-size vintage violin whose voice has been quietly maturing for decades, now freshly set up and ready for its next player.
There is a reason players seek out older instruments: wood changes as it ages, and a violin that has been played and cared for over decades develops a settled, resonant character that cannot be manufactured. The Glaesel story starts in our backyard: German luthier Kurt Glaesel founded Glaesel String Instrument Service in Cleveland in 1973, and for decades every Glaesel was shop-adjusted right here in Northeast Ohio. Our vintage collection comes from that era, and each instrument has spent those years in our care.
