The 15.5" body is a sweet spot: real viola warmth without the reach of a full 16". Freshly refurbished by our shop with new Dominant strings, a new Aubert 5 bridge, and a new chin rest, it arrives ready to play. This one has lived a working life -- the top carries old surface scratches our shop has professionally improved, and the instrument is priced with that honest character in mind. The voice is untouched by any of it.

The Glaesel story starts in our backyard: German luthier Kurt Glaesel founded Glaesel String Instrument Service in Cleveland in 1973, and for decades every Glaesel was shop-adjusted right here in Northeast Ohio. Our vintage collection comes from that era, and each instrument has spent those years in our care.
