A true vintage Glaesel from the brand's Cleveland era: thirty years of naturally cured tonewood.
Three decades of aging have given this violin a warmth and evenness no new instrument can offer, and it remains in remarkably clean, all-original condition. This is a textbook example of what a step-up violin should be: seasoned wood, beautiful workmanship, and a sound that has fully opened up.

The Glaesel story starts in our backyard: German luthier Kurt Glaesel founded Glaesel String Instrument Service in Cleveland in 1973, and for decades every Glaesel was shop-adjusted right here in Northeast Ohio. Our vintage collection comes from that era, and each instrument has spent those years in our care.
